Dry Needling & Cupping
Dry Needling
What is Dry Needling?
Dry needling is a technique that is used to treat musculoskeletal pain and movement issues by needling with a very fine filament of myofascial trigger points.
When dry needling is applied to your muscles and tissues, it can:
decrease tightness
increase blood flow, and
reduce local and referred pain.
Dry Needling is generally always performed in conjunction with a comprehensive exercise and rehabilitation program.
What happens after a dry needling session?
After your treatment, make sure to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. You may experience increased muscle soreness after the treatment. This is normal and may last for up to 24 hours.
You may occasionally see some minor bruising near the treated area. This will resolve generally within a few days.
Cupping
What is Cupping Therapy?

We place cups on your back, shoulder, arms, legs or other parts of your body. A vacuum or suction force inside the cup pulls your skin upward into the cup
Cupping methods:
Dry: involves removing air from the cups by use of a vacuum that pulls your skin up into the cup.
Running: This is like dry cupping. We apply a lotion to your skin and vacuum the skin into the cup. Then we gently move the cup in different directions over the affected area of your body.
